Terms of Service
Last updated: April 28, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PatchPilot ("Service"), operated by Polsia. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
PatchPilot is a WordPress site monitoring and maintenance service. The Service:
- Monitors WordPress sites you connect for outdated plugins, themes, and core versions.
- Queries WordPress.org APIs to identify known security vulnerabilities.
- Applies updates autonomously, subject to your plan's scope and any settings you configure.
- Sends you reports and alerts based on scan results.
The scope of monitoring and autonomous actions available to you depends on your subscription plan.
2. Account Registration
You must provide a valid email address to register. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at patchpilot-6@polsia.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Subscription and Payment
- PatchPilot offers paid subscription plans billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected).
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on the applicable billing cycle.
- Plan limits (e.g., number of sites, scan frequency) are defined on the pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. If you cancel, you retain access through the end of the paid period.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to monitor sites you do not own or manage, or for which you do not have explicit authorization.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the Service beyond your authorized access.
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Abuse the Service in ways that degrade availability for other users (e.g., adding thousands of sites on a plan not designed for that volume).
5. Limitation of Liability
PatchPilot is a tool that assists with WordPress maintenance. It is not a guarantee of site stability, security, or uptime.
- Plugin and theme updates applied by PatchPilot rely on third-party code. We are not responsible for downtime, data loss, visual regressions, or other issues caused by third-party plugin or theme updates, including those applied autonomously by the Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining your own site backups before enabling autonomous updates. We strongly recommend using a backup solution independent of PatchPilot.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, PatchPilot's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the fees you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data.
6. Service Availability
We aim to keep PatchPilot available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure incidents, or events outside our control may cause temporary unavailability. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.
7. Data Ownership
You retain ownership of your data (your site URLs, scan results, etc.). You grant us a limited license to process that data for the purpose of delivering the Service. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
8. Account Termination
- By you: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Upon cancellation, your account remains active through the end of the paid period.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or create risk to other users or the platform. We will provide notice where practical, except in cases of severe violations.
- Upon termination, your data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.
9. Modifications to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for such modifications.
10. Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We will notify you by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
